She went on to complete three externships at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center, Chu Vision Institute, and Compton Eye Associates, along with an internship at University Eye Clinic at SUNY Optometry. Dr. Ellingson completed her residency in Ocular and Refractive Surgery at Chu Vision Institute. Her education and work history are representative of her commitment to provide the best vision possible for all her patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Ellingson and her husband like to spend time with family and friends, try new restaurants in the Twin Cities, cook, and travel.

Highly recommend! I don’t leave many reviews, but when I left the office after the visit with Dr Ellingson I was impressed and was hoping I’d get asked to. I had just met her and from the start she was incredibly inviting and personable, clear and concise on what she was doing and why, and knowledgeable. It was just a quick check up, but she covered everything on my chart, history, and any concerns thoroughly. This was not an annual checkup, it was to address a problem I was experiencing. Dr. Ellingson has an incredible "bedside manner". She asked great questions, she genuinely listened to my concerns, we mutually discussed actions to take and arrived at a solution I felt very comfortable with.
