Sonja Iverson-Hill, O.D. provides comprehensive medical eye care, surgical co-management, and the diagnosis and management of a wide range of ocular conditions. With extensive clinical experience, she provides ongoing management of patients with a broad range of ocular conditions and provides personalized care focused on maintaining and protecting her patients’ long-term vision and eye health.
Originally from Glencoe, Minnesota, Dr. Iverson-Hill earned her bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Minnesota Duluth before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry. Her clinical training included rotations at Eye Associates of Lee’s Summit in Missouri, the Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the Michigan College of Optometry.
Dr. Iverson-Hill’s clinical interests include comprehensive medical eye care, glaucoma evaluation and management, anterior segment and corneal disease, diabetic eye examinations, and pre- and post-operative care. She has experience monitoring and managing patients with a variety of ocular diseases and providing longitudinal care as conditions evolve.
Dr. Iverson-Hill also has experience with specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, rigid-gas permeable lenses, soft lenses, myopic control lenses, and orthokeratology, particularly for patients with complex corneal conditions or visual needs. She takes a thorough and individualized approach to patient care, with an emphasis on careful examination, evidence-based treatment, patient education, and preservation of long-term ocular health and vision.
